Description
This long lived Native perennial thrives in dry as well as seasonally wet soils. Unlike other Penstemons, it is fungus-resistant even with thrice daily overhead watering. Leaves turn wine-colored in the winter. Bees love the flowers. Clumps grow larger every year. They also spread by seeds. Generally deer-resistant. Full sun or part shade. We propagated from the only documented native population in Beaufort Co, SC.
