Description

This 1′ tall native sedge spreads by stolons to form a dense groundcover which is covered by white-bracted inflorescences from Spring through Fall. Bees are attracted to the flowers. The white bracts show up in moonlight, making this a good plant for the moon garden.Plant in full sun or part-shade. This thrives in average to wet soil. It is often found along the edges of salt marsh and in slacks in sand dunes. It tolerates salt flooding and salt breeze and loves high calcium soil.  It is very deer resistant. Interplant with plants that deer love to provide protection. Our plants were propagated from native populations in Beaufort (RHYCOL-COO) Charleston County, SC.;(RHYCOL-CHA)
