Prunus glandulosa ‘Rosea Plena’ (Papaw Price’s Almond Rose, Flowering Almond)

Description

Knee to waist high Carefree Heirloom shrub with Spectacular Early Spring Flower Display. Spreads by stolons to form tight patches. The fruit is rarely seen.  (Feb-March in Coastal SC. Larval Host of tiger swallowtail. Plant in full sun or part shade. We propagated our plants from one in my Aunt Judy Hall’s Garden in Clinton, TN. She got her starts from the garden of my Papaw, Hubert E. Price in Oak Ridge, TN.
