Description
Up to3′ Tall Native Perennial spreads to form large patches or to intermingle with other plants. From June-November it produces abundant bright yellow flowers with red markings which are pollinated by Oil Bees and other Bees.
Que. to B.C., s. to FL, TX & CO, mostly east of the Rocky Mountains, Zones 4 to 8. Native from moist to relatively dry forests. We propagated our plants from a site prone to frequent flooding in Colleton Co., SC. We have grown it both deep shade and full sun in the nursery. When we had them in deep shade, the branches wept down the sides of the tables. In deep shade.
