Description
Native evergreen clinging vine is covered with colorful blooms from March to May. Flower color is variable. It is important as an early nectar source attracting hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies. It can climb both masonry and wood up to 50′ but can also be maintained on a modest trellis. Tolerates part shade. Blooms best in full sun.. It is the larval host of the Rusty Sphinx Moth.
