Ditrysinia fruticosa formerly Sebastiania fruticosa aka (Gulf Sebastian Bush)
$15.00Native evergreen shrub with yellow inflorescences. It has milky sap, so it should have good deer resisitance. We propagate our plants from native populations in Colleton Co., SC, and Beaufort Co., SC. It was growing in river swamps which flood after heavy rains, then dry out between rains. These areas are heavily shaded. In the nursery I grow it in regular garden soil. To my knowledge, this species has not been cultivated by anyone else.
