There is very little information for the plant online.  We propagated our plants from a native population in Effingham Co. GA in 2021. (That was the first time I had ever seen this plant in the wild. I have not seen it anywhere seince. We  have been growing it in the nursery siince then. 2024 is the first time we are offering them for soil. It thrives in moist soil in both and sun and shade in the nursery. Tolerates high calcium soils (near shell, limestone or concrete) It does not sucker.  It is not aggressive. Native to SC, GA and FL
