Description
- Three species of butterfly (Gulf frittilary, Zebra Heliconia and Variegated Fritillary) lay their eggs on this native perennial vine.Pollinators are drawn to the fragrant followers. The fruit are delicious. Animals think so too. It prefers full sun to part shade in average to dry soil. Digging manure or compost around its roots every year or so, will nake it especially vigorous. We propagated our passionflower from two different population on different islands. Plant one of each if you want to ensure cross pollination.
5/3/22. We are working on getting new plants ready and expect to have more available within the month. Hopefully we will have more ready within 2 weeks. The same butterflies use Passiflora lutea. I should have more Passiflora lutea ready by next week. .
