Physostegia leptophylla (Tidalswamp Obedient Plant)

Description

1′-2′ tall native evergreen perennial attracts bees and butterflies when blooming. Though very rare in the wild, it thrive in sun or part shade in moist to flooded soil. Although it spreads vigorously, the shallow stolons are easy to pull out where it is not wanted. It is normally deer-resistant.
