Description

One of the easist native perennials to grow. Pinkish-purple Flowers can be pivoted on the stalks, hence the name. Tolerant of sun or shade, wet or dry.  It produces 2′ tall flower stalks in late summer.This is a great nectar source for butterflies. bees, and hummingbirds. Plant in sun or shade thrives in wet soil, tolerates dry soil. Native to : AL, AR, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN,  TX, UT, VA, VT, WI, and WV. It is also native to adjacent areas of Mexico and Canada. We propagated his strain from a roadside ditch in front of what appeared to be a Militia Camp in Jasper County,SC
