Description
Native evergreen groundcover.to 15″ tall.White to yellow flowers. Blooms June through December. There is very little information published about this species. Closely related species are considered important foods for goslings in Canada. The foliage smells and tastes like CIlantro. However, plants should not be eaten if they are under drought stress. Triglochin striata is the only member of the Juncaginaceae (Arrowgrass Family) native to the southeatern US. Grows in brackish marshes. Helps control erosion. Native to AL , CA , DE , FL , GA , LA , MD , MS , NC , OR , SC , VA as well as New Zealand, South America, America, Africa, Australia. It is naturalized in Portugal.[
