Description
This native evergreen bunch grasses is one of the largest in our area. Native bees collect the pollen. www.bamona.org lists it as the only larval host of the rare Byssus Skipper Butterfly. The large curious seeds are favored by songbirds and small mammals. Sun or part shade. Wet to average soil. It is great for screening, bank stabilization, and erosion control.
