Description
Native evergreen groundcover blooms from Spring to Fall attracting a variety of small pollinators. It is a larval host of the White Peacock Butterfly. Aromatic foliage is edible and medicinal. Plant in sun or part shade in moist soil or in shallow water. in moist soil stems grow to 3″ tall, but can grow longer in water. Established plants tolerate mowing and foot traffic. Native to MD, VA, NC, SC, GA, AL, FL, MS, LA and TX. We propagated our plants from native populations in Beaufort, Jasper and Barnwell Cos., SC.
