I have pasted a list of the Local Native and Southeastern Natives available for sale on 9/17/18 . There have been additions and subtractions since then. This list was created for a native plant sale, so it does not include the our non-invasive heirloom or recently introduced edible plants. There are also a few mistakes on this list.
However, the plants in the nursery are demanding my attention now. So, I will post it as is. Check back later for updates on native inventory and addition of heirlooms and edibles. (posted 11:00 am 10/2/18).
Want to know more about our plants, check the catalog for descriptions. If not in the catalog, please send questions or requests through the form. If you don’t hear back from me. try emailing me [email protected], or calling (843) 525-9454 or (843) 592-8150. I have been working alone for several months now.. so I cannot always answer correspondence the same day.
We grow over 400 different species in the nursery. All of them are propagated from local populations, often rescued from destruction in the process. Most of them were from Coastal SC, followed by Coastal GA, other parts of SC and GA, two from FL and one from near Durham, NC. About 80% are native to the immediate area (Coastal SC and Coastal GA). The others are non-invasive heirloom plants. (Several of these species were introduced from other parts of the Southeastern US) and are usually simply listed as “native”. We also sell a few edible and medicinal plants which charmed me and snuck into the inventory.
